Dentures are a removable replacement option for multiple missing teeth. They are an affordable alternative to restore a set of teeth, or can even be used as a temporary solution. In Mount Waverley, we custom-design them to suit your smile and appearance.
Depending on your needs, different types of dentures can be made:
Conventional partial dentures: Are typically made after your gums and jaw bone have fully healed after teeth removal. They can be made in cobalt chrome, which provides a thin but sturdy metal base; or acrylic or Valplast, which provides affordability
Immediate dentures: Are a temporary option so that you don’t have to go without teeth after a tooth extraction. They are made before your tooth is extracted, and fitted immediately after, so you can maintain chewing function and aesthetics while your gum and jaw are still healing. Because there are a lot of changes to your jaw in the first 3 months after a tooth extraction, it is important that you return to us for follow up appointments and relines, so that your denture continues to fit you well.
